«Among the clay canyons, where the wind still carries the voices of those who left these villages, Lucanian cooking remains an act of memory. Every table set is a way of keeping it alive.»

Chi siamoAbout us

Non una guida.
Una storia raccontata da chi la vive.
Not a guidebook.
A story told by the people who live it.

Roota was born in Basilicata, among the clay canyons, the emptied villages, and the tables of people who still cook the old way. We don't take people to see Basilicata. We let them taste it, cross it, listen to it.

Every dinner and every itinerary start from one simple question: what would you tell a friend visiting you for the first time?
